Dr. N. Tamilselvan, M.E., Ph.D.,

Associate Professor & HOD

Dr. N. Tamilselvan, M.E., Ph.D., is the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shree Sathyam College of Engineering and Technology, Sankari, Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. He was awarded his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, in 2021, specializing in heat transfer studies on non-Newtonian nanofluids.

He completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, in 2005, and his M.E. in Manufacturing Engineering from the same institution in 2010. He began his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2005. Over a span of 18.5 years, he has grown professionally, serving in various reputed engineering colleges and holding multiple academic and administrative positions.

He has effectively taught more than 15 batches of students in his previous institution. He has also received research grants from TNSCST, Nan Mudhalvan, and various other projects. His dedication and hard work have earned him his current status.

He has been serving as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shree Sathyam College of Engineering and Technology since 2024. His areas of interest include heat transfer, machining processes, analysis of heat exchanger performance, and statistical analysis methods.

He has a total of 18.5 years of teaching experience and has published around 13 papers in reputed national and international journals. He has also presented more than 10 papers at national and international conferences. Additionally, he has organized several programs as a coordinator for NAAC and NBA activities, and has actively participated in NPTEL courses, conferences, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), seminars, and workshops.
